Adrienne Arsht Center to Present Inaugural John S. and James L. Knight Masterworks Season

The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts is set to present the inaugural John S. and James L. Knight Masterworks season, which will include various classical music and dance programming.

The four-performance Sanford and Dolores Ziff Classical Music Series will include the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Pinchas Zukerman (December 16); a solo recital by the Award-winning violinist Itzhak Perlman (January 12); the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Leonard Slatkin (February 14); and pianist Lang Lang accompanied by the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival Orchestra with Christoph Eschenbach conducting (March 29). The Classical Music Series will be presented in the Center’s John S. and James L. Knight Concert Hall.

The three-performance Signature Dance Series will feature Israel’s leading cultural ambassadors, the Batsheva Ensemble (December 5-6); The Joffrey Ballet (March 26-27); and the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater (May 20-23).
