Tony Award winner Bill Irwin will star in Samuel Beckett’s Endgame, as part of an evening of short Beckett works at American Conservatory Theater that also includes Play. This double bill replaces the previously announced production of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, and will be presented May 9-June 3, 2012. Carey Perloff will direct.

Irwin will play Hamm in Endgame, Beckett’s timeless rumination on the end of life. Play will feature A.C.T. core acting company members René Augesen, Anthony Fusco, and Annie Purcell in a comic tale of marriage and adultery.
