Mark Jacoby to Star in Walnut Street Theatre’s Fiddler on the Roof

Tony nominee Mark Jacoby will star as Tevye in the Walnut Street Theatre‘s production of the classic musical Fiddler on the Roof, to run May 18-July 18, with an opening on May 26. Bruce Lumpkin will direct.

Based on the stories by Sholem Aleichem, the musical features a book by Joseph Stein, music by Jerry Bock, and lyrics by Sheldon Harnick.

The cast will also include Mary Martello (Golde), Rita Markova (Tzeitel), Gianna Yanelli (Hodel), Michaela Shuchman (Chava), Denise Whelan (Yente), Marcus Stevens (Motel), Nick Dalton (Perchik), Bill Van Horn (Lazar Wolf), Ben Dibble (Mordcha), Lee Golden (Rabbi), Nicholas Park (Mendel), Fran Prisco (Avram), Dave Mussen (Nachum), Jennie Eisenhower (Frumah Sarah), Dan Olmstead (Constable), Chirstopher Brian Williams (Fyedka), and Alexander Sovronsky (The Fiddler).

The role of Shprintze will be shared by Mackenzi Maula and Arin Edelstein, while the role of Bielke will be played by Amadea Smith Martino and Sami Zindel. The cast will also feature Joey Abramowicz, Josie Andrews, Jim Becker, Julie Czarnecki, Jamison Foreman, Colby Q. Lindeman, Benjamin Michael, Michael Philip O’Brien, Chad Parsons, Jennifer Hallie Rosen, and Eadie Scott.

The creative team will include scenic designer John Farrell, lighting designer Jack Jacobs, sound designer Nick Kourtides, and costume designer Colleen Grady.
