McCarthy and Swartz to Star in Brothers-in-Law at Act II Playhouse

Barrymore Award winning actors Tom McCarthy and Kraig Swartz will star in the world premiere of Jeff Baron’s Brothers-in-Law. Directed by Barrymore Award winner Harriet Power at Act II Playhouse, the show will run March 11-April 6.

In Brothers-in-Law, two men who have been nearly strangers for 12 years face off on the afternoon of their mother-in-law’s funeral. The cast will feature Swartz as Richard, a bon vivant; and McCarthy as Fred, a truck driver.

Baron’s first play, Visiting Mr. Green, enjoyed a year long run at the Union Square Theatre in New York and has been translated into 22 languages and performed around the world. His other works include When I Was Five, Edna and Joe Forever, Mother’s Day, and Mr. & Mrs. God.
