The Off Broadway Alliance Awards winners for 2016 have been announced. The sixth annual awards recognized artists in seven competitive categories: Best New Musical, Best New Play, Best Musical Revival, Best Play Revival, Best Unique Theatrical Experience, Best Solo Performance, and Best Family Show.

In addition, as previously announced, four Legend of Off-Broadway Awards were presented to theater press agent Merle Debuskey, Tony-winning actress Linda Lavin, Playwrights Horizons founder Robert Moss, and Tony-nominated actress Lois Smith, while Hall of Fame Awards were presented posthumously to actors Anne Jackson and Eli Wallach, actress and comedian Anne Meara, and composer Elizabeth Swados.

The Off Broadway Alliance is an organization composed of off-Broadway producers, theaters, general managers, press agents, and marketing professionals.
