(© Joseph Marzullo/WENN) | Broadway veterans Jenny Galloway and Richard Poe will join members of the Irondale Ensemble Project for their upcoming production of London Cries, to run November 19-December 20 at the Lafayette Avenue Presbyterian Church in Brooklyn.
The production will be directed by Di Trevis, who also adapted the script with Frank McGuinness from Henry Mayhew's book London Labour and London Poor, and features music by Dominic Muldowney and 30 original songs from the London Music Hall.
The show is about how music sustains people through hardship.
Galloway, a winner of London's coveted Olivier Award, played Mme. Thenardier in the recent Broadway revival of Les Miserables. Poe's Broadway credits include Cry-Baby The Pajama Game, and 1776.
