Diana DeGarmo Set for October 30 Toxic Avenger Halloween Event

American Idol alum Diana DeGarmo will join theatergoers for drinks following the October 30 performance of The Toxic Avenger at New World Stages. This post-performance event is just one of many that are planned for Halloweek, the show's seven day celebration of Halloween.

Other special events that are scheduled include a photo contest for best costume, a special reception with Toxic Avenger cast members at the restaurant Vynl, give-aways at the theater, including toxic stickers and tattoos, and a full-blown costume party with door prizes that will follow the October 31 performance of the show. This Halloween event will also coincide with the opening of the musical in Toronto.

Toxic Avenger, based on Lloyd Kaufman's 1985 cult film, features music and lyrics by David Bryan and book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro. The New York company currently features DeGarmo, Nick Cordero, Demond Green, Jonathan Root, and Nancy Opel. The production is directed by John Rando.
