Lauren Ambrose, Blythe Danner, Helen Hunt, et al. to Be Featured in Sundance Films

The Sundance Film Festival has announced an initial lineup of films to be seen during the Festival’s run in Park City, Utah, January 19-29, 2012.

Jason Ritter will be featured in Mark Webber’s The End of Love, with the cast also including Amanda Seyfried, who starred in the film version of Mamma Mia! Lou Diamond Phillips will star in Youssef Delara and Michael D. Olmos’s Filly Brown. Paul Dano, Margarita Levieva, and Jena Malone will appear in So Yong Kim’s For Ellen.

The cast of director Todd Louiso’s Hello I Must Be Going will include Christopher Abbott, Blythe Danner, John Rubinstein, and Julie White. Zachary Booth, Julianne Nicholson, and Souleymane Sy Savane are part of the cast of Ira Sachs’ Keep the Lights On. Charles S. Dutton and Danny Glover will appear in Sheldon Candis’ LUV.

Justin Kirk, Rosemarie DeWitt, and Olivia Thirlby will co-star with John Krasinski in Ry Russo-Young’s Nobody Walks. Megan Mullally and Octavia Spencer are featured in James Ponsoldt’s Smashed. Helen Hunt and William H. Macy co-star in Ben Lewin’s The Surrogate.

Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly, and Zach Galifianakis will star in Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim’ s Tim and Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie. The film adaptation of Mike Birbiglia’s popular solo show Sleepwalk With Me, which Birbiglia will co-direct, co-write, and co-star in, also features Lauren Ambrose, Carol Kane, James Rebhorn, and Cristin Milioti.


Anne Heche will star in That’s What She Said, which is directed by actress Carrie Preston and written by actress Kellie Overbey, Marin Ireland and Chris Messina co-star in Matt Ross’ Twenty-Eight Hotel Rooms. Bill Camp and Ann Dowd are among the ensemble of Craig Zobel’s Compliance.


Tony Award winner Roger Bart will star alongside AnnaLynne McCord, Traci Lords, Ariel Winter and John Waters in Richard Bates’ Excision. Russell Tovey, who appeared on Broadway in The History Boys will be featured in Jon Wright’s Grabbers. Ashlie Atkinson and Harris Doran will appear in Erin Doran’s My Best Day.
