Mia Barron, Bill Camp, Jessica Hecht, et al. Set for 52nd Street Project’s Bouncing Back

Casting has been announced for The 52nd Street Project’s Bouncing Back: The Resilient Plays, to be presented at the Five Angels Theater, December 9-11.

This evening of original musical one-acts is the culmination of the Project’s Playmaking series, in which the Project’s youngest mentees — ten-year-olds who have just begun their theatrical education — write for accomplished professional actors and director-dramaturges, and reveal their work to a public audience for the first time.

The cast will feature Mia Barron, Francis Benhamou, Bill Camp, Alex Draper, Kimiye Corwin, Brandon Dirden, Carson Elrod, Jessica Hecht, A.Z. Kelsey, Megan Ketch, Jo Mei, Edward O’Blenis, Maria-Christina Oliveras, Joe Paulik, Shirley Rumierk, Wrenn Schmidt, Felix Solis, and Robert Stanton.

The Hell’s Kitchen kids writing the one-acts include Alex Bonnet, Jasmine Correa, Joseph Cruz, Imani Lewis, Maria Martinez, Kate Mendoza, Chayse Peña, Bamba Thiam, and Ashley Thomas.

The director/dramaturges will be Carlos Armesto, Tamara Fisch, Davis McCallum, Patricia McGreggor, Don Nguyen, Alexandra O’Daly, Lucas Caleb Rooney, John Sheehy, Awoye Timpo, and Maureen Towey.

Bouncing Back will feature original music by Patrick Barnes, lighting design by Greg MacPherson, sound design by Vanessa Valdes and costume design by Lara de Bruijn, Crystal Thompson and Corie Wallace.
