Participating shows have been announced for the 14th annual Kids' Night on Broadway, a program in which kids ages 6 to 18 can see Broadway shows for free when accompanied by a full-paying adult. Kids Night will be offered for evening performances on February 2 and February 3 and both matinee and evening performances on February 7. Tickets will go on sale on November 9 at noon.
The shows participating in Kids' Night include Billy Elliot the Musical, Bye Bye Birdie, Chicago, Fela!, Finian's Rainbow, Hair, In the Heights, Mary Poppins, Mamma Mia!, Memphis, Next to Normal, Oleanna, Ragtime, The Lion King, The Phantom of the Opera, South Pacific, Superior Donuts, West Side Story, and Wicked. Additionally, the off-Broadway productions participating in Kids' Night in 2010 include Altar Boyz, Avenue Q and Stomp.
Pre-theatre parties at Madame Tussauds, open to all theatergoers with Kids' Night tickets, will be held on both February 2 and 3 to celebrate the program. Additionallly, a special promotion held in conjunction with Kids' Night will give young people the opportunity to have a dinner with a Broadway celebrity. Special edition Kids' Night Playbills will also be available in conjunction with the program.
