Second Stage Theatre has announced the establishment of The Donna Perret Rosen Award, to be given to a promising composer/lyricist beginning in 2012.
The prize, which will carry a $10,000 cash award, has been named to honor the theater’s trustee Donna Perret Rosen in recognition of her long-standing commitment to young artists and new works.
The selection panel for the inaugural year of the award will be comprised of writer/director James Lapine, director/choreographer Susan Stroman and producer Jack Viertel.
