After a weekend when Broadway was dark due to Hurricane Irene, productions will play their usual performances on Monday, August 29, according to a post on the website for the Broadway League.
This includes the 6,138th performance of Chicago, which will make the musical the fourth longest running show in Broadway history. As previously reported, this landmark performance was originally set to play the matinee slot on Saturday, August 27, but was delayed due to the cancellation of all weekend shows.
Anyone who had tickets for any Broadway performances cancelled over the weekend should contact their point of purchase.
