Paul Shaffer to Make Cameo Appearance in Broadway’s Godspell

Paul Shaffer will make a cameo appearance at the Thursday, February 16 performance of Broadway’s Godspell, performing at Circle in the Square Theatre. He will also participate in a talkback after the show with Sirius XM Radio Host Julie James.

Shaffer is best known as the musical director of Late Show with David Letterman, but he was also the musical director and conductor of the original Broadway production of Godspell.

Featuring music and new lyrics by composer Stephen Schwartz and original concept and direction by John-Michael Tebelak, Godspell is directed by Daniel Goldstein and choreographed by Christopher Gattelli.

The cast is led by Hunter Parrish as Jesus and Wallace Smith as Judas, and also features Uzo Aduba, Nick Blaemire, Celisse Henderson, Morgan James, Telly Leung, Lindsay Mendez, Anna Maria Perez de Tagle, and George Salazar.
