The new musical Leap of Faith will begin performances on April 3 at Broadway’s St. James Theater, with an official opening slated for later that month.
The production will be directed by Christoper Ashley, with choreography by Sergio Trujillo.

Based on the movie of the same name, the show features music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Glenn Slater, and a book written by Janus Cercone and Warren Leight.

The musical centers on Jonas Nightingale, a part-time reverend and full-time con-artist who comes up against Marla, the beautiful small-town sheriff who is determined to stop him from stealing people’s money.

The show will star Raul Esparza as Jonas, Jessica Phillips as Marla, and Kendra Kassebaum as Sam. Additional casting will be announced shortly.
