Jose Batista-Ayala will bring his six-character show The Cruising Monologues to the Nuyorican Poets Cafe for one night only on Wednesday, September 10, at 7pm. The performance follows a sold-out performance at the West Village's cabaret venue The Duplex.

Inspired by Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues, The Cruising Monologues tells the stories of six individuals and their experiences with "cruising," the act of walking or driving around town in search of a little romance, usually of the gay, anonymous, casual, one-time variety. The show features comical monologues, poetry, and dance in an eye-opening evening of laughter.

Batista-Ayala's previous works include the play FRiENDAMiGO and the one-man variety show Drunk on Love.
