Getting It White

Danny Burstein, Brian d’Arcy James, Blythe Danner, Christine Ebersole, Sutton Foster, Ana Gasteyer, Beth Leavel, Joan Rivers, Vanessa Williams, and more stars come out for the opening of Irving Berlin’s White Christmas.

Sutton Foster, who played Janet in Drowsy, is back on the Great White Way as Princess Fiona in Shrek the Musical.

The very talented Brian d’Arcy James has the title role in Shrek.

Here’s one of Broadway’s cutest couples: Sebastian Arcelus, who’s currently starring in Jersey Boys, and Stephanie J. Block, who will call the Marquis home next year as Judy in the new musical 9 to 5.

Three members of the [title of show] gang, Susan Blackwell, Hunter Bell, and Heidi Blickenstaff, were among the opening night crowd.

Two-time Tony Award winner Christine Ebersole will be performing this week at Birdland with good pal Billy Stritch and will return to Broadway in 2009 in the revival of Noel Coward’s Blithe Spirit.

And here’s another blithe soul, Tony and Emmy Award winner Blythe Danner.

The fabulous Vanessa Williams now spends her days as the deliciously evil Wilhelmina Slater on ABC’s Ugly Betty.

The ageless Sandy Duncan was another glamorous addition to the opening.

The always outrageous Joan Rivers is back in town and wowing audiences at the Cutting Room.

Broadway veteran and former Saturday Night Live star Ana Gasteyer brought her daughter, Frances, to the show.

Here’s real-life couple and One Life to Live stars David Fumero and Melissa Gallo.
