Rock of Ages Celebrates a Military Tribute Night

The Broadway production of the Tony-nominated musical Rock of Ages, at the Helen Hayes Theatre, held a Military Tribute Night on Monday, October 2. The evening was presented in partnership with The Boot Campaign – a Texas-based non-profit that promotes patriotism and awareness of current U.S. Armed Forces and veterans’ issues.

Rock of Ages is a classic rock love story featuring such 80s hits as “Every Rose Has Its Thorn,” “I Wanna Know What Love Is,” “Don’t Stop Believin,” and more.

100 free tickets to Active Duty, Retired & Veteran members of the U.S. Military were distributed to the show. Following the curtain call, cast member Genson Blimline — wearing a USMC t-shirt — introduced the presentation, which included appearances by Meghan McDermott from The Boot Campaign and Andrea Dellinger from Military Warriors Support Foundation. In addition, veteran Jon Moldovan was named the winner of a mortgage-free home, courtesy of The Boot Campaign and Benchmark Mortgage.
