Oh, What A Night! Bob Gaudio and Jersey Boys Join Frankie Valli for Broadway Opening

By New York City

Oh, what a night, indeed! A capacity crowd filled the Broadway Theatre on Friday, October 19 – often standing and screaming – for the opening night of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons' week-long special engagement.

The 78-year-old "Jersey Boy," his trademark falsetto in strong shape, was joined by singers Brian Brigham, Landon Beard, Brandon Brigham, and Todd Fournier, longtime musical director Robby Robinson, and a crackerjack 12-piece band for the two-hour-plus concert.

The show featured many of the Four Seasons' greatest hits, including "Sherry," "Rag Doll," "Walk Like A Man," "Let's Hang On (To What We Got")" and "Who Loves You." Valli also song his solo smashes, "Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You," "My Eyes Adored You," and "Grease," as well as a number of 1960s classics he recently recorded, including "Call Me," "My Girl," and "Spanish Harlem."

The opening night audience also included Bob Gaudio, a co-founder of The Four Seasons, former Four Seasons drummer Gerry Polci, actor Frank Vincent, and radio legend "Cousin Brucie" Morrow. Following the performance, Valli was greeted by the current stars of Broadway's Jersey Boys -- Matt Bogart, Drew Gehling, Jeremy Kushnier, and Jarrod Spector.
