Deidre Goodwin, Tom Hewitt, Bonnie Langford, Kecia Lewis-Evans to Join Broadway’s Chicago

A new principal cast has been announced for the Broadway production of Chicago at the Ambassador Theatre, beginning on Monday, September 7.

As of that date, the show will star Deidre Goodwin (Velma Kelly), Tom Hewitt (Billy Flynn), Bonnie Langford (Roxie Hart), Kecia Lewis-Evans (Matron “Mama’ Morton), R. Lowe (Mary Sunshine), and Raymond Bokhour (Amos Hart). Goodwin will not perform, September 17-22.

The musical has a score by John Kander and the late Fred Ebb, including such hits as “All That Jazz,” “Mister Cellophane,” “Razzle Dazzle,” and “Nowadays.” The production is directed by Walter Bobbie with choreography by Ann Reinking. The musical won six 1997 Tony Awards, including Best Revival of a Musical.
