Kara Lee Corthron, Lynn Rosen Set for New Georges Season

New Georges will present two full-length productions during its 2012-2013 season.

First up will be Kara Lee Corthron’s ALICEGRACEANON, directed by Kara-Lynn Vaeni, to run October 18-November 9 at The Irondale Center. In the show, three oddly connected heroines — a curious girl who falls down a rabbit hole; the lead singer of an iconic 60s rock band; the nameless star of a classic druggie diary — inhabit three separate worlds, playing out their stories exactly as expected.

The second production will be Lynn Rosen’s Goldor $ Mythyka: A Hero is Born, directed by Shana Gold, to run April 1-27 at The New Ohio Theatre. In the show, young Bart and Holly escape the dreary reality of hauling money all day in armored transport vehicles by playing Dungeons & Dragons. When jobs are lost and the boss starts looking at Holly funny, escape becomes reality, releasing their alter egos Goldor & Mythyka upon the world!
