Xoregos Performing Company Announces Casting for Antigone

Xoregos Performing Company has announced casting for Sophocles’ Antigone, which will be presented free-of-charge in parks and libraries July 23 – August 13 in Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn and the Bronx. Sheila Xoregos will direct and choreograph the production, which will have original music by Edward Rosenberg III.

The Greek tragedy centers on an act of civil disobedience committed by Oedipus’ daughter, Antigone, after her brothers have both died in battle outside the walls of Thebes.

The company will feature Amy Bohaker, Andrew R. Cooksey, Bong Dizon, Michael Lawrence Eisenstein, David Allen Green, Katherine Mylenki, Reagan Porter, Amanda Elizabeth Sawyer, and Brennan-Pierson Wang.
