Cast Recording of Forbidden Broadway Comes Out Swinging! to Be Released by DRG Records

DRG Records has announced the upcoming release of Gerard Alessandrini's Forbidden Broadway Comes Out Swinging! (2014 Un-Original Cast Album). The album will be available in stores and online July 22.
To kick off the CD release, Barnes & Noble will host an in-store appearance and performance. This CD marks Forbidden Broadway's 12th cast recording with DRG Records. Featured on the album are current cast members Carter Calvert, Scott Richard Foster, Mia Gentile, and Marcus Stevens, with David Caldwell on piano.
This new edition of Forbidden Broadway includes jabs directed at Hedwig, If/Then's Idina Menzel, Sylvester Stallone, Cabaret, The Bridges of Madison County, Aladdin, Motown The Musical, The Sound of Music Live!, and more.
The production recently announced that it will end its run at the Davenport Theatre on July 20. The show is directed by Phillip George and Alessandrini, with musical direction by Caldwell.
Forbidden Broadway is currently playing a limited run at London's Menier Chocolate Factory through August 20 and will play a limited engagement at Feinstein's in San Francisco from July 10-27.
