Fred Berman, Sarah Litzsinger, and Colin Hanlon will star in a newly revised version of the musical How Now, Dow Jones, which will play the 2009 New York International Fringe Festival. The festival will run August 14-30, with specific dates for How Now, Dow Jones to be announced at a later date. Ben West will direct.

The musical features a book by Max Shulman, music by Academy Award winner Elmer Bernstein and lyrics by Tony Award nominee Carolyn Leigh, with West penning the script's revisions. It follows Kate, the voice of Dow Jones, whose fiancé won't marry her until the Dow Jones Averages hit 1,000.

This new version will be performed without an intermission by a cast of eight, and feature feature three new songs: "Don't Let a Good Thing Get Away," "Where You Are," and "Touch and Go" -- all cut from the original Broadway production. Additionally, four major roles and the ensemble have been eliminated while five musical numbers have been cut.

The cast will also include Shane Bland, Dennis O'Bannion, Elon Rutberg, and Cori Silberman. The production will feature choreography by Rommy Sandhu and music direction and arrangements by Fran Minarik.
