Georgi James, Tyrah Skye Odoms, Jaidyn Young Cast as Orphans in Broadway Annie Revival

The seven young ladies who will be playing the orphans in James Lapine’s upcoming Broadway revival of Annie have been announced.

The group will include Madi Rae DiPietro (as July), Georgi James (as Pepper), Junah Jang (as Tessie), Tyrah Skye Odoms (as Kate), Taylor Richardson (as Duffy), and Emily Rosenfeld (as Molly).

Also cast is Jaidyn Young, who will be the standby for the roles of Annie, Pepper, Duffy, and July. Richardson will understudy the role of Annie.

As previously reported, the title role will be played by Lilla Crawford.

The production will feature choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, with scenic design by David Korins, costume design by Susan Hilferty, lighting design by Donald Holder and sound design by Brian Ronan. Music director is Todd Ellison. Hair and wig design is by Tom Watson. Animal training is by Tony Award-winner William Berloni.

Annie features music by Charles Strouse, lyrics by Martin Charnin, and book by Thomas Meehan, and is based on Harold Gray’s “Little Orphan Annie” comics. The score includes “Maybe,” “It’s the Hard Knock Life,” “You’re Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile,” “Easy Street,” “I Don’t Need Anything But You” and “Tomorrow.”
