Wynton Marsalis to Be Honored by Interfaith Center of New York

Jazz legend Wynton Marsalis will be honored at The Interfaith Center of New York's ninth annual James Parks Morton Interfaith Awards Dinner, to be held at Tribeca Rooftop on Monday, June 6, beginning at 6:30pm. Nancy Giles will host.

Marsalis is an internationally-acclaimed musician and composer, as well as the artistic director of Jazz at Lincoln Center. He has won nine Grammy Awards for both jazz and classical records.

The evening's entertainment will be provided by The Essentially Ellington Alumni All Stars. Included are Willie Applewhite on trombone, Tatum Greenblatt on trumpet, Alan Hampton on bass, Reggie Quinerly on Drums and Carmen Staaf on piano.
