Leo Ash Evens, David Perlman, Josh Segarra Set for York’s The Pigeon Boys Reading
Leo Ash Evens, David Perlman, and Josh Segarra will star in York Theatre Company’s The Pigeon Boys reading, to be presented at the Theatre at Saint Peters on Wednesday, April 18 at 3pm. Joe Barros will direct, with musical direction by Cathy Venable.
The musical features book and lyrics by Anne Berlin, with music by Andrew Bleckner, and tells the story of the forgotten pigeoneers of World War II and explores the lives of three soldiers — an American, a Brit, and a German.
The work is presented as part of the York’s Developmental Reading Series, which will also include Stephen Thompson and Carl Kelsch’s musical, Jonestown on Thursday, April 19 at 3pm. Cast and creative team will be announced at a later date.
Readings are free to the public.
