Bernadette Peters to Be Honored By National Dance Institute

Tony Award winner Bernadette Peters will be honored as the National Dance Institute’s 2009 Artistic Honoree at its annual gala, to be held on Thursday, April 30 at the Nokia Theatre. The event will also honor Yoko Ono and celebrate the life and legacy of her late husband, John Lennon.

Peters won Tony Awards for her work in Annie Get Your Gun and Song & Dance. Her many Broadway credits include Gypsy, Sunday in the Park With George, Into the Woods, and The Goodbye Girl. She is also the author of the book Broadway Barks.
