Dixon Place is set to present the Obie-winning Talking Band’s The Peripherals, written and composed by Ellen Maddow, May 3-19. Ken Rus Schmoll will direct.

A play in the form of a rock concert, The Peripherals features Sluice and Suzy Q performing a pop music concert accompanied by the rock band The Peripherals. They sing eclectic, original songs that juxtapose pop music and stories of peripheral people.

The cast stars Viva DeConcini, Michael Evans, Kim Gambino, Sam Kulik, Ellen Maddow, Kamala Sankaram, and Paul Zimet.

The design team will include Sue Rees (set and video design), Olivera Gajic (costume design), Alan C. Edwards (lighting design), and David Dawkins and Ruth Marantz (additional video).
