Marc Kudisch will play Daryl Van Horne in the Signature Theatre’s American premiere of the musical The Witches of Eastwick, to run June 5-July 15 in the Max Theatre. The production will be directed by Eric Schaeffer, who also helmed the show in London. Additional casting will be announced shortly.

Featuring music by Dana P. Rowe, a book and lyrics by John Dempsey, based on the novel by John Updike and the Warner Bros. film adaptation, the musical tells of three unhappy women in a small New England town who innocently plot to conjure the perfect man, but end up with the devilish Daryl Van Horne.

Kudisch is currently on Broadway in The Apple Tree and will play the Pirate King in New York City Opera’s production of The Pirates of Penzance in March. He received Tony Award nominations for his performances in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Thoroughly Modern Millie. This week, he received a Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award nomination for Zorba. Kudisch previously appeared in Signature’s production of The Highest Yellow.
