92nd Street Y to Present World Premiere of Seven

The 92nd Street Y Unterberg Poetry Center will present the world premiere of Seven, a documentary theater piece based on the real-life stories of seven extraordinary women from around the world who overcame adversity to make their voices heard as advocates for change, at 8pm on Monday, January 21.

The piece, which consists of seven monologues written by Anna Deavere Smith, Susan Yankowitz, Ruth Margraff, Carol K Mack, Gail Kreigel, Catherine Filloux, and Paula Cizmar, will be directed by Evan Yionoulis.

The women on whom the monologues are based were chosen with the help of Vital Voices Global Partnership, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping women effect change.
