Broadway star Laura Bell Bundy will join the CW series Hart of Dixie in a recurring role beginning on October 16, according to The Huffington Post.
Bundy’s many theater credits include Legally Blonde, for which she received a Tony Award nomination, Hairspray, Wicked, and Ruthless, and her television credits include Guiding Light and Modern Family.
As a recording artist, she has released such CDs as Achin’ and Shakin’, Longing for a Place Already Gone, and I’ll Be Home for Christmas.
The series stars Rachel Bilson as a Southern doctor, and also stars Scott Porter and Wilson Bethel.
