The national tour of
A Chorus Line celebrated its opening night at Los Angeles’
Pantages Theatre on Tuesday, June 1.
Celebrity guests included Kym Johnson, Shirley Jones, Kate Linder, Greg Louganis, Melissa Manchester, Kenny Ortega, Charlene Tilton, and John Lloyd Young.
Conceived and originally choreographed and directed by Michael Bennett, A Chorus Line features a book by James Kirkwood and Nicholas Dante, music by Marvin Hamlisch and lyrics by Edward Kleban. This revival is directed by its original Tony Award winning co-choreographer Bob Avian with original cast member Baayork Lee re-staging the original choreography.
