Reba McEntire to Be Hall of Fame Inductee at Hollywood Bowl

Country Music star and Broadway veteran Reba McEntire will be the 2012 Hall of Fame inductee at The Hollywood Bowl. Stage and screen legend Julie Andrews will host Opening Night at the Bowl, honoring McEntire, on June 22.

In related news, it has just been announced that Susan Stroman will direct and choreograph the Bowl’s previously reported production of The Producers, to run July 27-29. Stroman previously directed and choreographed the Broadway production of the musical, winning Tony Awards for her work in both capacities.

Additions to the Hollywood Bowl season also include Martin Nievera as part of the line-up for Apl.de.ap Takes You to the Philippines – A Celebration of Global Filipino Music, co-hosted by Broadway veteran Lou Diamond Phillips (July 8) and The Go-Go’s, The Psychedelic Furs, The Motels and Bow Wow Wow performing in Totally ’80s Hollywood Bowl (September 29).
