Full Cast, Creative Team Set for You, Nero at South Coast Repertory

Full cast and creative team information has been announced for the world premiere production of Amy Freed’s You Nero, set to run on South Coast Repertory’s Julianne Argyros Stage with Sharon Ott at the helm, January 4-25.

The play is Freed’s imagined backstory of the fall of Nero, consumed by the need to turn public opinion in his favor with the help of Scribonius the playwright and a play at the Neronia Festival of the Arts.

The cast will star Danny Scheie as Nero and John Vickery as Scribonius, and feature Angelle Buffett, Christopher Crawford, Richard Doyle, Marissa Hampton, Caralyn Kozlowski, Hal Landon Jr., Lori Larsen, and Kasey Mahaffy.

The creative team will include Erik Flatmo (set design), Peter Maradudin (lighting design), Paloma H. Young (costume design), and Eric Drew Feldman and Stephen LeGrand (music composition/sound design).
