The film chronicles Steve Jobs' transformation of character from the enthusiasm and self-discovery of his youth, to the personal demons that clouded his vision, and finally to the ultimate triumphs of his later life.

Ashton Kutcher plays the title role, alongside Josh Gad as Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak; Ron Eldard as Apple designer Rod Holt; John Getz as Jobs' father, Paul Jobs; Lesley Ann Warren as Jobs' adoptive mother, Clara Jobs; James Woods as Jack Dudman; Lukas Haas as Daniel Kottke; Matthew Modine as John Sculley; and Dermot Mulroney as Mike Markkula.

The film is scheduled for a winter 2013 release.
