
Southwark Playhouse has announced casting for Mike Sizemore’s adaptation Diana Wynne Jones’ Howl’s Moving Castle, to run November 28 – January 7. Davy and Kristin McGuire will direct and design the production, which will have original music by Fyfe Dangerfield.
The work centers on an 18-year-old girl who toils in the hat shop opened years ago by her late father. One day she finds herself trapped within a spell that has turned her into an old woman and must embark on a journey to reverse the spell.
The company will feature Daniel Ings, Kristin McGuire, Susan Sheridan, and Jamie Wilkes, along with Stephen Fry who will provide the voice of the narrator.
