John Doyle’s staging of Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman’s Road Show will have its European premiere at the Menier Chocolate Factory during the summer of 2011, according to a report in Variety. Doyle’s staging of this work about the Mizner brothers was first seen at the Public Theater in 2008.
In related news, it has also been announced that Maria Friedman will direct a revival of Stephen Sondheim and George Furth’s Merrily We Roll Along at the theater in December 2012. The musical charts how three friends’ relationship unravels, working backward through time.
