Jenny Jules and Lucian Msamati to Star in U.K. Premiere of Ruined

Jenny Jules and Lucian Msamati are set to star in the European premiere of Lynn Nottage’s Ruined to run April 15 – June 5 at the Almeida Theatre. Indhu Rubasingham will direct the production. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.

Jules and Msamati have previously appeared together in both Nottage’s Fabulation and August Wilson’s Gem of the Ocean at the Tricycle Theatre. Jules’ other theater credits include Almeida productions of The Homecoming and Big White Fog. Msamati’s credits also include Death and The Kings Horseman, The Overwhelming, and Mourning Becomes Electra for the National Theatre as well as Pericles for the Royal Shakespeare Company.

The creative team will include Robert Jones (production design), Oliver Fenwick (lighting design), and Christopher Shutt (sound design).
