National Theatres of Scotland and China Launch International Partnership

The National Theatre of Scotland and the National Theatre of China began a week-long collaboration in Beijing and Shanghai today as part of a new international partnership between the two organizations, according to the website for the UK magazine, The Stage.

Following a writing laboratory in China led by National Theatres of Scotland artists, a group of playwrights from China will travel to Scotland in the fall of 2012 to develop their plays and continue a cultural exchange with Scottish artists.

In 2013, the two companies will come together for a season at Glasgow’s Oran Mor.
