360° Network, a global network of in-the-round venues, has commissioned a new production from Canadian writer/director Robert Lepage, entitled Cartes, according to the website for the UK theater magazine, The Stage.
The work, to be presented in four parts, is inspired by each of the four playing card suits. The first installment is set in Las Vegas in 2003, as the Iraq War commences. It will open in May 2012 at the Teatro Circo Price in Madrid, and received its British premiere at London’s Roundhouse in February 2013.
Additional theaters in the 360° Network include Le Comete in France, and La Tohu in Canada.
