Harry Potter Actor Harry Melling Set for Southwark Playhouse’s I Am a Camera

Harry Melling, best known for his role as Dudley Dursley in the Harry Potter films, is set to play Christopher Isherwood in John Van Druten’s I Am a Camera at Southwark Playhouse, September 5-22. Anthony Lau will direct, with musical direction and original composition by Angus MacRae.

The inspiration for the musical Cabaret, I Am a Camera is based on Isherwood’s memoirs Goodbye to Berlin.

In addition to Melling, the cast will feature Rebecca Humphries (Sally Bowles), Freddie Capper (Fritz Wendel), Rosemary Smith (Fraulein Schneider), Sherry Baines (Mrs Watson-Courtneidge), and Oliver Rix (Clive Mortimer).

The design team will include James Turner (set design) and Sarah Booth (costume design).
