The film version of Peter Morgan’s hit play, Frost/Nixon, directed by Ron Howard, will get its world premiere on October 15 when it opens the The Times BFI London Festival.

As previously reported, 2007 Tony Award winner Frank Langella and Michael Sheen will reprise their stage roles as former U.S President RIchard Nixon and British talk show host David Frost, who conducted a series of television interviews with Nixon in 1977, in which Nixon talked frankly about the Watergate scandal.

The film’s supporting cast include Kevin Bacon, Sam Rockwell, Oliver Platt, Matthew MacFayden, Kate Jennings Grant, Rebecca Hall, and Toby Jones. The film is expected to open in the United States before the end of 2008, and has a UK release date of January 9, 2009.
