Julie Atherton, Daniel Boys, Michael Xavier, et al. Featured on Michael Bruce: Unwritten Songs CD

Julie Atherton, Daniel Boys, Ross Hunter, Charlotte Wakefield, and Michael Xavier are among the artists who will be featured on the new album Michael Bruce: Unwritten Songs, to be released by Spekulation Entertainment on March 21. Neil Eckersley & Paul Spicer have produced the recording.

The 13-track disc will feature such songs from songwriter Bruce as “Even Then,” “Someplace Beyond the Moon,” “Continental,” “The Musical Theatre Song,” and “Portrait of a Princess,” as well as the title track. Other artists appearing on the disc are Jessie Buckley, Anna-Jane Casey, Sarah Earnshaw, Mark Evans, Ashleigh Gray, Ross Hunter, Alex Jessop, Alexia Khadime, Sarah Lark, and Emily Tierney.

Bruce is currently composing the music for Josie Rourke’s staging of Much Ado About Nothing, which will star David Tennant and Catherine Tate. Among his other stage credits are Rourke’s Men Should Weep. In addition, he is resident composer at London’s Bush Theatre. As previously announced, a CD-release concert celebration for the disc will be held on March 20 at the Delfont Room in London.
