TriArts Sharon Playhouse Announces 2012 Season

TriArts Sharon Playhouse has announced their 2012 Season.

The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (June 28 – July 15) will be directed by John Simpkins. MK Lawson will be the choreographer, and the music director is Rob Rokicki. Altar Boyz (July 20-29) will also be directed by Simpkins. The production will feature choreography by Nancy Renée Braun and music direction is by Eric Kang.

The Sound of Music (August 9-26) closes the season. Gary John La Rosa directs and choreographs, and Michael Berkeley is the music director.

Divas Do the Decades (created by Michael Berkeley) will play June 8 – 10, as well as a summer youth theatre program and special events throughout the year in the Bok Gallery. Titles of musicals for the 2012 New Works Series (readings and workshops), as well as casting and other events will be announced at a later date.

Additional creative team members for the season are resident designers Erik Diaz (Scenic), Chris Dallos (Lighting), Michelle Humphrey (Costumes), and Sven Henry Nelson (Props). Alice Bemand is the Executive Director and Michael Berkeley and John Simpkins are Artistic Directors.
