The Marriott Theatre has announced casting for its upcoming production of the new musical Hero by Aaron Thielen and Michael Mahler, June 20-August 19. David H. Bell directs and choreographs. Musical direction will be by Ryan T. Nelson.
Hero tells the story of a talented young artist who, after a life changing event his senior year in high school, finds himself living at home with his dad, Al, who runs the family comic book shop in Milwaukee.
Erich Bergen will star as Hero Batowski, and the cast will also feature Heidi Kettenring (Jane), Don Forston (Al), Alex Goodrich (Kirk), Dara Cameron as (Susan), Jonah Rawitz as (Nate), Zach Keller (Nate at matinees), Summer Naomi Smart (Adele), and Michael Aaron Lindner (Kyle) as well as ensemble members Kelley Abell, Jameson Cooper, and Alex Goldklang.
The design team will include Jesse Klug (lighting design), Thomas M. Ryan (set design), Nancy Missimi and Erin Wuorenma (costume design), Robert E. Gilmartin (sound design), and Sally Weiss (prop design).
