Aladdin and The Lion King Stars Set for Special Good Morning America Performance

The casts will perform a mash-up of classic Disney tunes.

Leading cast members from the Broadway productions of Aladdin and The Lion King will premiere a brand-new medley of songs from both shows during the January 8 edition of ABC's Good Morning America. The performance will take part during the 8am hour of the broadcast.

The medley, created specifically for Good Morning America, will feature 16 cast members from both shows, including Aladdin leads Adam Jacobs, James Monroe Iglehart, Courtney Reed, and Brian Gonzales, and The Lion King stars L. Steven Taylor, Jelani Remy, Chantel Riley, and Bonita J. Hamilton. The performers will sing mash-ups of the popular songs from each show, with the cast of Aladdin singing from The Lion King and vice versa.

Based on the 1992 Disney animated film, Aladdin opened on Broadway on March 20, 2014. The Lion King, based on Disney's 1994 animated musical, opened on Broadway November 13, 1997.
