Watch the Birdie!
John Stamos, Gina Gershon, Jayne Houdyshell, Nolan Gerard Funk and more discuss the Roundabout's revival of Bye Bye Birdie
Nearly 50 years since it first shook up Broadway, Bye Bye Birdie remains one of the most smile-inducing musicals to ever hit the stage. So, it's no surprise that the Roundabout Theatre Company chose the first-ever Great White Way revival of this beloved tuner to inaugurate its reopened Henry Miller Theater. At a recent press rehearsal, TheaterMania spoke with the show's stars -- John Stamos, Gina Gershon, Jayne Houdyshell, Bill Irwin, Dee Hoty, and Nolan Gerard Funk -- as well as choreographer and director Robert Longbottom, composer Charles Strouse, and lyricist Lee Adams about what makes Birdie fly.
