Paul Masse, Alicia Hall Moran, Nathaniel Stampley from Broadway’s Porgy and Bess to Perform at Apollo Theater

Paul Masse, Alicia Hall Moran, and Nathaniel Stampley — who currently appear in the Broadway production of The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess — will perform a number from the show at the Apollo Theatre on Sunday, February 5.

The performance is part of an Open House Weekend at the Apollo on February 4 and 5, presented in conjunction with Black History Month. The event will feature displays of Apollo memorabilia, live performances from past winners of the Apollo’s signature program, Amateur Night, artists from the Apollo’s newest series Apollo Music Café, and multi-media presentations on Apollo Theater history, among a host of other activities.

Among the other scheduled performers are 10-time Grammy Award-winning Christian jazz vocal group Take 6, Ballet Hispanico, Dance Theatre of Harlem, Forces of Nature Dance Theatre, Millennium Dance Company, Devastation Dance Crew, Lisa Nicole Wilkerson, Mavis SWAN Poole & Soul Understated, “The Professor”, MTA MUNY’s The Body Electric; Speaking in Rhythms, WHCR-FM’s Supa DJ King James, and Bugnanas.
