In related news, it has also been reported that Rannells has signed a talent deal with 20th Television and NBC that would include starring in a possible new sitcom from Ryan Murphy and Ali Adler about a gay couple and the woman who becomes their surrogate as they start a family.
Rannells is currently starring on Broadway in The Book of Mormon, for which he received a Tony Award nomination as Best Actor in a Musical. His other stage credits include Hairspray and Jersey Boys.
