Ronald K. Brown Espiritu Vivo to Receive Boston Premiere from Ballet Hispanico

Choreographer Ronald K. Brown’s Espiritu Vivo will receive its Boston remiere in a program from Ballet Hispanico at the Cutler Majestic Theatre, March 9-11.

The work, featuring music by Susana Baca, explores the intersection of the African and Latino Diasporas in the Caribbean and Latin America.

Brown is currently represented on Broadway by his choreography for The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess.

Also on the Ballet Hispanico bill are Boston premieres of Eduardo Vilaro’s Asuka and Annabelle Lopez Ochoa’s Mad’moiselle. The performance is part of the Celebrity Series of Boston.
